Learning to hula; is as easy as learning to walk once you start you never forget

Learning to hula to most people may seem a little boring but let me enlighten you, this form of dance can be used in any type of dancing situation from the waltz, salsa and tango you name it and the hula fits in to any of them. ”How” well it’s like this let’s take the waltz as an example, when you waltz you are gliding across the floor leading your partner and one of the most common movements is the walking motion.

In this activity you can accentuate the hip movements the same way you hula, a little hip swaying motion to “Wow” the on lookers while you are waltzing. In the Latin salsa style dance form this type of hip shaking is more obvious, because the Latin style of dance is very provocative and very sensual. The hips and legs of the salsa dancer turn over like turbines, powerful yet graceful, aggressive but still sexy.
