Welcome to the world of "Hula Music!" Everything you've wanted to know about the ukulele, log drums and other Pacific instruments.

Soifua Musicians 2009

Through my experience , I have learnt that hula music is the "end-all, be-all" of hula dancing. It sets the tone, rhythm and mood.

Traditional Cook Island music is played with a ukulele , guitar and Pacific island drums carved from miro, tamanu and mango trees (only found in the South Pacific).

Also in this area is the Pe'e .. a chant or chants of legends from days of old, stories told through voice.

This is where you will find everything you want or wanted to know about the ukulele, log drums (Polynesian drums) and other Pacific instruments and music.

So find yourself a comfortable chair... sit back, put your feet up and enjoy your hula music journey.
